THE LAND OF SUNRISE(ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

It was the day of the 16th of October. It was the 11th day of Durga Puja. It Means Durga puja was over. On that day we left for our Arunachal trip. We boarded the Saraighat Express at 3:50 pm. We had a sleeper compartment named S3. Many people were going for different work or duties to Guwahati. As we were going with the travel agency, I had made many friends. The next day we reached Guwahati. We went straight to our hotel. Our hotel’s name was Hotel Fortune. It was a 3-star hotel and we had AC rooms. Then we had our lunch. Then we went sightseeing. We saw 2 temples. It was beautiful. Then we returned to our hotel had our dinner and went to sleep. The next day we had to leave for Bomdilla. Our car left Guwahati at 7:30 am. We had to go nearly 270 km via Bhalumpong. There was a high temperature before we went to the mountains. We were enjoying the beauty of the mountains. We crossed the Bhutan border at bhalumpong. There we had our lunch with fried rice and chilli chicken. The food was very tasty. Then we had again started. Now only 98km of route was left but, in the mountains, and also at night. There was a very steep climb. When we were just about 2 km left at that time our cars diesel was finished. We were so tense as it was in the middle of the mountains but we got help from the local people. And then they sent their cars to drop us at our hotel. Our hotel’s name was hotel native inn. Many people in our team were suffering from motion sickness due to a journey of more than 12 hours in a bus. My, I and my parents were fine. And currently, we are at over 10,000 feet above sea level. The next day we had to move to Tawing which was nearly 14,000 ft above sea level and we had to travel nearly 176 km. So, we started our journey at 9:30 am. We were enjoying the view as a river was also going with us. We were gossiping and having fun in the car. We were enjoying every moment of our life. Nearly at 4:30 pm, we had our lunch. And then we kept on travelling in the car. We reached Tawing at 8:30 pm. Our hotel’s name was Hotel Sela. We had got a big room. Today also our many travellers were suffering from motion sickness because of the journey of nearly 11 hours. The next day was the day for sightseeing. We had seen Tawang monastery which is the second largest monastery in the world. There was a beautiful museum filled with Buddhist manuscripts. Then we went to the Dalai Lama monastery. As Dalai Lama was the head of all of the Buddhists in the world, whenever Dalai Lama came to that monastery the doors of the monastery would open automatically to welcome Dalai Lama. Next, we saw the 1962 war memorial. We got a lot of information about that war. In that war, India had lost the war and nearly 2000 soldiers were dead. After seeing the war memorial, we were very angry about how could the Chinese defeat us Indians. We said if China was again at war with India, India would win. Then we returned to our hotel and had our lunch. After having lunch my mother went shopping. The next day we went to Bumla Pass which was at 15200 ft. It was the China border. Then we went to Madhuri lake. It looked just beautiful. There we clicked some beautiful pictures and then we went to Preeti lake. Then we returned to our hotel and had our lunch. The next day we had to return to Dirang. We left hotel sela at 10:30 am. In between, we stopped at a waterfall which looked awesome. We saw another monastery named Dirang Monastery from where the whole city of Dirang was visible. We reached Dirang at 5:30 and again went shopping. There we ate special momos of Arunachal. The next day we returned to Guwahati. We had to go down from the mountains. It was the most tiring journey of 310 km. We left Dirang at 8:00. In between the journey, we visited the Bomdilla monastery. It was not as good as the other monasteries but it was ok. Then we went nonstop. We reached Guwahati at 9:30 pm. It was a journey of 13:30 hours. Some of our travellers went shopping. The next day we had to train for Howrah. We had 3rd AC compartments and we had the same train. So we came back to Howrah on the 25th of October. Each member of the tour was sad because had a relationship with a family. We had promised that we would not forget this tour and prayed to god that again we would meet on another tour. It was one of the best and most memorable tours of my life and I shall not forget this tour.
